Installation art is a three dimensional work that also utilizes space as part of its concept. The viewer's experience in a space designed by the artist is a part of the piece itself. Installation art is often site specific (designed specifically for the space where it is installed). Installation art may use a wide variety of media and may also incorporate video or sound.
